Dr. Libette Roman’s initial experience with laboratory animals was at the Caribbean Primate Research Center in Sabana Seca Puerto Rico working as a Veterinary Technologist with Nonhuman Primates. In May 2004 Dr. Roman decided to leave her much loved work with monkeys to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine which she completed in 2008 after a year of training in Clinical Medicine and Surgery at the University Of Florida College Of Veterinary Medicine.
In October 2008, Dr. Roman moved to Los Angeles California to begin a Laboratory Animal Medicine residency program at UCLA. During her residency program Dr. Roman worked on two research projects; one investigating novel methods of stress-less sedation in Nonhuman Primates and the other on researching differences in clinical efficacy of different kinds of Vitamin E on C57Bl6 mice Ulcerative Dermatitis Syndrome.
Currently, Dr. Roman serves as the Clinical Veterinarian for ISIS-Services where she is in charge of animal health, veterinary client communications and acts as one of the study directors here at ISIS
